SPOKANE, Wash. -- An inmate at the Spokane County Jail is accused of robbing Wells Fargo in South Spokane in April. Police announced Wednesday night that Lucky Guzman, 29, is accused of robbing the bank branch along 30th.
Guzman held up the bank on April 23rd according to police.
Witnesses told officers that Guzman indicated he had been armed with a gun. They also gave a description of Guzman and the vehicle he used to get away.
Detectives collected evidence including the note used and surveillance footage of the incident. Officers released the video and received multiple tips from the public.
Police search Guzman’s home on June 11th. Officers said they found evidence which links Guzman to the Wells Fargo robbery. He was charged Wednesday with First Degree Robbery.
He was already in jail for an unrelated crime at the time charges were filed.
