NEWPORT, Wash. -- Two people were arrested on Tuesday after a tip led authorities to a 179 plant marijuana grow in Pend Oreille County.

On Tuesday afternoon somebody alerted the Pend Oreille County Sheriff's Office of what they said looked like a drug deal ten miles south of Newport.  Authorities discovered 179 marijuana plants a short distance away at a home on Betty Mae Way.

Chris R. Riggs, 40, and Amanda S. Eshbach, 27 were arrested on charges of manufacturing, delivering, or possession with intent to manufacture or deliver a controlled substance, and with possession of a controlled substance.

Additional charges are expected to be added on.
