THONRTON, Wash. – A tip took investigators straight to thousands of dollars worth of items stolen during burglaries in Whitman County.

On Friday, authorities said they busted several people for a rash of burglaries.

Whitman Co. Sheriff’s deputies received a tip a home on Sunset Road in Thornton.

Authorities contacted Keith Kautzman, 47, who lived at the home. They learned he had two active felony warrants for Possession of Stolen Property and Possession of Methamphetamine. Kautzman was arrested and authorities got a search warrant for the property.

Deputies found thousands of dollars worth of stolen belongings including a 2010 Sundance 5th Wheel, a 1999 Prowler Fleetwood 5th wheel, a 1994 Suzuki RM 250 dirt bike and a Honda Pilot dune buggy.

Officials also recovered a laptop and two chainsaws that were reported stolen out of Spokane in the past two years.

An ounce of methamphetamine was also found on the property, according to authorities.
Deputies believe Kautzman has lived at the home since April. Two other people who live at the home are also facing charges.

Sean Mac Lean, 46, and Robert Dewbre, 37, are facing charges of Possession of Stolen Property and Possession of Methamphetamine.

Deputies are working to get warrant for Mac Lean and Dewbre.
