SPOKANE, Wash. – Just in time before we packed up our Treats 2 Troops packages and sent them overseas, KREM 2 received a major donation from a local barber shop.
The Man Shop donated $1,000 for our Treats 2 Troops. They also asked their supplier, American Crew, for some help. And American Crew answered with 450 bottles of each: hair gel, shave cream and cooling shave lotion.
The Man Shop general manager Stephanie Moe said it’s their way of giving back.
“A lot of the local guys support us when they’re home, so it’s only right and feels good to actually support them when they’re not home and they’re away from us,” Moe said.
The donation is an $8,000 wholesale value and a more-than-$15,000 retail value.
“When you get a package like that, you feel like they care about you and that people are willing to send you something like that is very important,” Staff Sgt. Michael Iannelli said. “Doesn’t matter what you get, it feels good.”
