SPOKANE, Wash. -- The historic Iron Bridge is now officially open to bicyclists and pedestrians.

Spokane city leaders unveiled the long awaited renovations in a ceremony Thursday.

The bridge is located off of Superior Street near the Northern Lights Brewery.

The former railroad bridge crossing the Spokane River now connects the Centennial Trial and other trails.

The project cost $800,000.
