COEUR D’ALENE, Idaho. -- A teenager drowned in Rose Lake Thursday evening.
The Sheriff’s Office responded to the 23500 block of East Park Road just before 8 p.m. after receiving reports of the drowning.
Investigators said Gaelen C. “Conner” Mast, 19, from Kingston, Idaho had been swimming with several friends when he failed to surface. After about one minute, Mast’s friends pulled him from the water.
Emergency responders performed extensive resuscitation efforts before airlifting Mast to Kootenai Health in Coeur d’Alene. Mast was later pronounced deceased at Kootenai Health.
The drowning was placed under investigation.
