SPOKANE COUNTY, Wash.--An aggressive program is underway in Spokane County to arrest drunk drivers. Authorities will use mapping that shows where deadly crashes have occurred and focus efforts there.

Washington State Patrol launched a new anti-DUI program in Spokane County this week called Target Zero.

Authorities say the program proved successful in Western Washington. It netted twice the amount of DUI arrests and lead to a 38 percent drop in deadly crashes in King, Pierce and Snohomish County in two years.

Officials said there could be as many as seven troopers working with local law enforcement in an area at once. This program runs for the next two years.
