KOOTENAI COUNTY, Idaho -- Authorities have deemed a suspicious package found at a North Idaho rest stop non-explosive.
Idaho State Police received a call of a suspicious package around 2:15 p.m. Saturday at the eastbound Huetter Rest Area on I-90 between Post Falls and Coeur d'Alene.
Officers arrived on scene and evacuated the area. The Spokane Bomb Disposal Unit was called in.
When the disposal team arrived they x-rayed the package and deemed it not to be an explosive device.
The rest area was closed for an hour and a half.
