MOSCOW, Idaho-- A University of Idaho employee found a suspicious device on campus Monday.
Officials confirmed an employee found a plastic soda bottle containing an unknown chemical in trash can outside of the Wallace Dormitory around 10:30 a.m.
A U of I environmental employee said the device appeared "not very dangerous." The device could have created a loud boom, but was not intended to harm.
Officials said the type of device is used as an act of vandalism to cause public worry.
