SPOKANE-- A suspected drunk driver trashed a well-known Hillyard restaurant Thursday night.
The crash happened as employees were closing up for the night. They say a vehicle left the roadway, hit the entrance sign and then rammed right into the outside dining area.
The suspected drunk driver nearly crashed into Tony's Burgers and Italian Bistro causing thousands of dollars in damage.
Employee Dorinda Lene said, "She had all the fencing wrapped around her car, the chairs were up underneath her car, it was just a mess, all the potted plants, the dirt, the glass, everywhere, it was just horrible."
Pictures taken by a restaurant employee show the female driver unconscious and hunched over.
Spokane Police say she was taken to sacred heart medical center with broken ribs, and a possible injury to her back.
