AIRWAY HEIGHTS, Wash. -- Spokane County Sheriff's arrested two suspects after responding to a domestic violence call Friday morning.
Deputies were called to a trailer near the 2100 block of North Craig Road. A male subject, identified by deputies as Steven Mulinex, 29, was heard saying he was going to "shoot it out" with deputies if they came to the home.
Several deputies and officers responded to the home and saw Mulinex running in a field near the trailer and was taken into custody a short time later.
Authorities say a 16-year-old male was walking by the home and heard the commotion inside the trailer and knocked on the door. They say Rhyllie Stoddard, 20, answered the door and pointed a firearm at the 16-year-old's head which resulted in her arrest.
Deputies discovered Stoddard had a bloody mouth and determined Mulinex had assaulted her.
Mulinex was booked into the Spokane County Jail on an unrelated felony drug warrant and new charges of felon in possession of a firearm, 4th degree assault and 3rd degree malicious mischief and resisting arrest.
Stoddard was booked into jail on the felony charge of 1st degree assault.
