WHITMAN COUNTY -- A man accused of murdering a 23-year-old man from Rosalia was found guilty Friday of two different charges.
The jury came to a verdict around 5 p.m. Friday. Frank Lazcano was found guilty of murder in the first degree and improper disposal of a body. Lazcano was found not guilty of kidnapping in the first degree. Lazcano will be sentenced March 8 and is currently being held without bail.
Frank Lazcano's brother and accused accomplice, Daniel Lazcano, had his trial last week which resulted in a mistrial for murder and kidnapping charges. However, Daniel was found guilty for disposing human remains. Daniel's sentencing will be March 8.
The case is in connection to the December 2011 murder of Marcus Schur of Rosalia.
