SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash. -- Monday’s snowy roads sparked some excessive road rage for a Spokane Valley driver, according to the sheriff’s office.
The victim told police he was stopped at stoplight behind the suspect around 6:30 a.m. near Schafer and Dishman Mica.
The suspect, 46-year-old Darren Palmer, reportedly had a difficult time accelerating in the snow when the light turned green, so the victim drove around him. They met again at Dishman Mica and 8th, where police say Palmer fired a shot at the victim’s front passenger tire.
Although shaken, the victim managed to take down the suspect’s license plate number. Police tracked down Palmer, who reportedly admitted to shooting the tire. He told police the victim cut him off and nearly drove him into a ditch.
Palmer now faces a reckless endangerment charge.
