SPOKANE, Wash. -- A standoff with a suicidal man prompted road closures in north Spokane.
The situation started on the Wandermere Bridge late Thursday night and went into Friday morning.
Deputies with the Spokane Co. Sheriff’s Office, along with Spokane officers, negotiated with the man as he threatened to jump from the bridge.
All lanes of the N/S Spokane Corridor were closed from Highway 2 to Highway 395, along with other nearby streets. The man was taken into custody around 6:30 a.m. Friday, and roads reopened shortly after.
