SPOKANE, Wash. -- The 33rd Annual Pig Out in the Park at Riverfront Park begins Wednesday.
There will be 54 vendors with a huge variety of food. They are expecting about 100,000 people to come enjoy the event.
Those people come from all over, and so do the vendors. KREM 2 met one man who flies all the way from Florida for this event. He's come for the past several years. He said he wouldn't miss the opportunity to serve up his famous salsa and black beans at Pig Out for anything in the world.
"It's such a great event, it's worth it to fly from the other end of the country to do it," Leo Felize said. "I have a lot of fun doing it."
Leo does that flying with two or three of his family members from Florida. They always help out at his booth. He does seven events like this each year in the Northwest. He said he loves Spokane so much, he's moving here.
Leo told KREM 2 his family in Florida is safe from Hurricane Isaac in Orlando.
The price cap for this year's event is $9.25.
