SPOKANE -- Avista crews have repaired a gas leak at a Spokane South Hill neighborhood.

Earlier Saturday afternoon, hazmat teams evacuated people from at least four homes in the area of 44th and Apollo.  Firefighters were sent to investigate after neighbors complained of a gas odor in the area.  Officials said the leak came from a construction site.

The people who were evacuated from their homes have been allowed to return.
