SPOKANE VALLEY-- For the second time since July, a family traveling through Spokane Valley with all of their belongings has been ripped off.
The U-haul trailer stolen from a military family overnight was found Monday evening.
It was abandoned at an apartment complex at 2400 N. Wilbur in Spokane Valley.
The family was driving from Minot Air Force Base in North Dakota to McChord Air Force Base in Western Washington.
The husband was being deployed to Korea.
The family was staying at the La Quinta Suites Sunday night off of Sullivan.
A neighbor from an apartment complex on North Wilbur saw news coverage of the U-haul being stolen and remembered seeing the trailer earlier in the day.
He called Spokane Valley Police.
Some of the more expensive items were stolen, including Christmas presents.
The family’s truck that was pulling the U-haul still has not been found.
Crime Stoppers has offered a $500 reward for information leading to an arrest. Anyone with information is asked to call the Crime Stoppers Tip Line at 1-800-222-TIPS.
