SPOKANE, Wash. -- Sporting high heels of all shapes and sizes, women and men alike sprinted a 100-meter dash in Downtown Spokane Saturday.

The Stiletto Sprint returned to the area after the Women’s Health and Empowerment Network (WHE Network) brought the event to Spokane last August. The one-block dash is held to raise awareness about domestic violence in the region.
Spokane has one of the highest rates of Domestic Violence in Washington state, according to the non-profit.
WHE and YWCA of Spokane hosted the Stiletto Sprint, held in front of River Park Square.
The Women’s Healing and Empowerment Network helps hundreds of domestic violence victims each year.
