SPOKANE, Wash. – Spokane is the 11th happiest city in the entire country, according to The Atlantic.

The magazine conducted a survey called "The Geography of Happiness According to 10 Million Tweets" study.

Self-proclaimed “tweetaholic” Jenna Carroll is nearing 16,000 tweets on her personal account. She also manages the Spokane Humane Society’s Twitter account, which has another 4,000 tweets. Out of those 20,000 tweets, Carroll said the majority are positive.

“Nobody likes negative news,” she said. “The world’s sort of full of it, so what’s the point?”

Carroll credits the SpoCT, which stands for Spokane Coffee Time for the reason Spokane landed so high on the list. It’s a Twitter community that meets every Friday for coffee to talk Twitter and tweet. They call it a “tweet up.”
