Spokane yard sale raises money for women's health

SPOKANE, Wash. -- A yard sale held Saturday to raised $2,500 in eight hours for the Every Woman Can foundation.

The Every Woman Can yard sale raises money and awareness for mammograms and cancer screenings. All of the money raised will stay local and go to an organization that provides cancer screening to women regardless of income or insurance.

The Yard sale began at 6:00 a.m on Saturday at 4115 East 37th Avenue on Spokane's South Hill.

Jessica White started the yard sale when she lost her sorority sister to cancer at the age of 32. It is now run out of White's home on the South Hill and two of her neighbors homes. 

Experts from Inland Imaging were at the yard sale to educate women about health issues.
