SPOKANE-- A Spokane woman is nearing the end of a weight loss journey that started seven years ago.
Dawny Taylor used to weight more than 400 pounds, and today, she is a third of her original size.
The mother of two started her personal challenge more than seven years ago at 415 pounds. This spring she was down to 186, but as of Dec. 1, she weighs 166.
By following Weight Watchers and working out six days a week, Taylor is nearing her goal weight of 155, but she says it has not been an easy journey.
“I want to be healthy. I want to live longer, you know. Weight of 415 pounds is a death wish for anybody, and I want to be free from that, and I like being active. I have a better family life,” Taylor said.
One of her favorite experiences from her weight loss journey was going to New York City last spring after she won a weight loss challenge sponsored by Progresso Soup.
Taylor hopes to lose the remaining 11 pounds by March or April.
