SPOKANE, Wash.--A local company that restores homes after fire or water damage was having a busy month in February.

Crews from Belfor Property Restoration said they were working on multiple sites across the Inland Northwest.

The crews responded to a couple of house fires in addition to their already-heavy workload. The majority of their calls involved flooding from broken pipes.

“It’s tragic seeing somebody's loss but every time it gets cold like that we already know that as soon as that first week and the cold hits nothing's going to happen but then as soon as temperatures warm up then it starts thawing out and the pipes bust,” said Belfor Restoration Supervisor Lamarr Speights.

Other companies said they are also responding to dozens of calls.
