SPOKANE-- People across the area will celebrate the Fourth of July Wednesday, many of them taking part in traditions that have been around for years.

Some organizers are now trying to offer a new spin on regular fireworks displays.

Many people have enjoyed the chance to see fireworks from Riverfront Park, but this year, fans will get to enjoy them from a new perspective, which hasn’t been available to the public until now.

The fireworks show in downtown Spokane draws in people annually on the 4th of July. They often come early to get the best spot in the park. Now, they can experience a better view. The public can now head to the roof of River Park Square. The event will also feature music, food and car show.

Organizers expect more than 1,000 people.

Everyone can begin showing up at River Park Square at 6:00 p.m. Wednesday. Tickets are $10, and partygoers must be at least 21-years-old. Tickets are available at both Pizza Oven locations
