SPOKANE--Officers arrested two men for drug and weapons charges Wednesday after responding to shots fired near Riverside and Stevens.
Officers working on routine patrol heard the shots just after 11:30 p.m. They saw two men exit the alley at Stevens and stopped them. One of the men, 37-year-old Jason W. Bagge stated that he had shot or shot at someone.
Officer’s searching the other suspect, 31-year-old Matthew R. Vigil, found a revolver in his pants as well as illegal pills, cocaine and a large amount of cash. Officers also found a pair of brass knuckles on Bagge.
Bagge was arrested for possession of a dangerous weapon. Vigil was arrested for two counts of possession of a controlled substance with the intent to deliver and one count of unlawful possession of a firearm.
No victim of a gunshot was found.
