SPOKANE, Wash. -- Gail Gerlach was booked into Spokane County Jail on Thursday around noon. He was fingerprinted, photographed, and released according to officials.
He needed to report to the county jail by 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
Gerlach admitted to fatally shooting Brendon Kaluza-Graham, 25, while he was stealing Gerlach's 1997 Chevrolet Suburban.
Gerlach was arraigned for First Degree Manslaughter in Spokane on Wednesday afternoon. He pleaded not guilty and was released on his own recognizance. He could serve up to eight years in jail if he is found guilty.
