SPOKANE -- A Spokane inventor has dreamed up a new kind of sofa for the security conscious.

KREM 2 News first introduced John Adrain in 2009 when he invented a gun safe that fits under the bed, and again in 2010 when he unveiled motion detector device capable of pepper spraying burglars.

Adrain’s newest invention is a high end safe hidden in an ordinary looking sofa.

It costs at least $10,000 and Adrain is already filling orders. The leather upholstered models are more expensive.

Adrain’s home will be featured on a National Geographic Channel program called “Doomsday Preppers” next Tuesday.
