SPOKANE, Wash. -- Police are expected to book a girl into juvenile hall after allegedly stabbing another girl several times.
It happened around 7 p.m. Sunday near Broadway and Nettleton.
The Spokane Police Department says the girl, along with three friends, attacked the victim because of a boy.
The main suspect stabbed the victim at least four times, according to police.
The suspects took off after the attack, but authorities managed to track them down a short time later.
Medics took the main suspect to the hospital to receive stitches because she accidentally stabbed herself in the attack. She was expected to be booked into juvenile hall Monday morning.
The victim spent the night in the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. She is expected to be released later in the day.
Officers booked one of the suspects into juvenile hall on an unrelated warrant.
