Detectives ask for help identifying Wal-Mart robbery suspect

SPOKANE, Wash.--Spokane Police Major Crimes detectives are asking the public to help identify a suspect from a robbery that happened in September of 2013.

Police responded to a robbery at a Wal-Mart on September 24 near N. Colton Street and E. Holland Avenue. Loss prevention officers attempted to detain a shoplifter when the suspect showed a knife, shoved an employee and fled on foot, according to police.

The suspect was described as a white male, 20-25 years-old, 5’8’-5’10”, average build with brown hair. He was wearing a red checkered shirt, camouflage-type jacket wrapped around his waist and blue jeans, according to police. They added he was carrying a “Jeep” brand backpack.

Police are asking that anyone with information about the suspects or who may have witnessed the incident to call Crime Check at 456-2233.
