SPOKANE -- A local criminal defense attorney died Friday after a battle with cancer.
Employees at Crary, Clark and Domanico say John Clark, 58, died this morning, leaving behind his wife, Judge Ellen Clark, daughter Alison and son Steve.
Clark was well known in Spokane County for the prominent cases he handled. He was the main attorney behind the lawsuit that challenged PhotoRed, the company contracted for Spokane's red light cameras.
Clark also represented several medical marijuana dispensaries when they were raided last year, and 35 under age people who were busted for attending a Cheney house party posted on Facebook.
In January of 2009, Clark was held at knifepoint by a pharmacy robber who held up the Millwood Walgreens on Argonne. He was not hurt in the incident.
