SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash.--Investigators said a Spokane Valley man was driving drunk when he plowed into two cars before trying to run away from officers on Sunday. Officials said at least one person was hurt.

Tyler Busby, 32, faced various charges including DUI and leaving the scene of an accident. He was in jail on Monday.

Authorities said Busby had two 60-year-old women with him in the car as he was driving drunk.

Busby appeared before a Kootenai County judge on Monday.

Idaho State Police said Busby was driving westbound on I-90 and rear-ended an 18-year-old man. Investigators said Busby’s blood alcohol level was more than twice the legal limit. Officials said Busby then drove another mile or so and then read ended another driver. Idaho State Police said Busby took off once again before driving into a large traffic sign.

Officials said Busby then got out of the car and took off. Idaho State Police troopers and Kootenai County deputies later caught up with him.

Prosecutors said that one of the victims involved in the case did need medical treatment but would not specify the extent of the injuries.

Busby plead guilty on Monday afternoon. He was being held on a $5,000 bond.
