SPOKANE— It seems summer has just begun across the Inland Northwest but already it is proving to be deadly.
Emergency crews pulled seven bodies out of the Spokane River so far, the most recent on Monday.
Peak 7 Adventures is a non-profit group who takes under-privileged children rafting. But organizers said the deaths have made some too scared to take part in safe water activities.
On the flip side, several sporting good stores reported an uptick in life vest purchases.
