SPOKANE, Wash.--Officers found and arrested a Downtown Spokane robbery suspect within ten minutes of the call Saturday morning.

Spokane police said there was an attempted armed robbery near W. Riverside Avenue and N. Post Street.

Police said a victim stated that a man asked him if he had any money and then indicated he had a gun and was going to search him if he did not hand over money. The victim called 911 and the suspect fled, according to police.

Officers found the suspect ten minutes later near the Monroe Street Bridge and took him into custody.

Martel Stewart-Toliver, 23, was booked into jail for Attempted First Degree Robbery.
