SPOKANE, Wash. -- Police in Spokane are testing body cameras.
Officers are trying out four different types of cameras that record what officers see and say.
Reviews on the cameras will be sent to the mayor, but there’s currently no guarantee the department will buy them.
“What’s probably going to come of body cameras is the community going to see police officers doing exceptional police work,” Police Chief Frank Straub said.
The Coeur d’Alene Police Department recently added cameras to their uniforms, which cost about $36,000.
