SPOKANE COUNTY, Wash. -- The Spokane County Library District will now offer Microsoft IT Academy at no cost.

A partnership with Microsoft and Washington state libraries will now offer Microsoft IT Academy to the public for free.

The Microsoft Academy offers technology courses and learning tools, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access.  The International Data Corporation said one out of two jobs requires information technology skill and in less than 10 years, three out of four jobs will require these skills.

The Spokane County Library said people interested in the courses can stop by their local library for more information.
