SPOKANE, Wash. – This year marks the eighth time the NCAA Tournament has come to Spokane, so the Spokane Veterans Memorial Arena is getting its rhythm down for hosting the major event.

Each tournament host must follow a massive binder of details dictated by the NCAA. Spokane Veterans Memorial Arena General Manager Matt Gibson said the book spells out exactly how the setup should look.

“There is nothing left to the imagination what you have to do,” Gibson said. “We know to the inch how these chairs are supposed to be laid out and how many people are supposed to be in here and where the media is supposed to go.”

Teams started arriving to town on Tuesday and were set to practice at the arena all afternoon Wednesday and into the evening.  The doors open at 11 a.m. and parking and admission are free and open to the public.
