SPOKANE, Wash. -- Ask and you shall receive. That is the basis of a concert set to take place in Spokane in November.
The Inlander put out a public request to bring Pearl Jam to the Lilac City. A writer for the publication made it part of a New Year’s resolutions for the Spokane music scene in 2013.
“We have to work much harder than your larger market venues to secure content,” said Gibson. “A couple of years ago, my staff and I developed a plan in order to reach out and stress to the industry folks that our market can and will sustain events, both large and small.”
Spokane Arena General Manager Matt Gibson saw the article and sent a copy to the band’s manager.
As it turned out, the band liked what they read and agreed to play a show.
The show is scheduled for Saturday, November 30. Tickets go on sale Saturday, July 27.
