CHEWELAH, Wash.--An eighth grader is continuing his mission to raise money for Inland Northwest Honor Flight. He is inviting the community to a fundraiser dinner to support Honor Flight.

Justin Peterson’s original goal was to raise $600. He has raised $66,000 to send close to 100 veterans to Washington D.C. on a trip with donated Southwest Airlines plane tickets.

Peterson said his new goal is to raise $100,000 by the time he graduates from high school.

Peterson said more than 600 World War 2 Veterans have gone to D.C. since the first Inland Northwest Honor Flight in 2009.

Peterson will be hosting the 5th Annual Inland Northwest Nacho Dinner on March 8, 2014 at 5:00 p.m. The dinner will be held at the American Legion Post #54 in Chewelah.

There is no price for the dinner, Peterson is just asking for donations for Honor Flight.
