FAIRFIELD, Wash. -- It is a big centennial celebration for a small town in Spokane County.  Fairfield has population of about 500 people.  But that isn't stopping neighbors from putting on a big 100th birthday.

Floats, music, and candy for the kids were all part of Saturday's parade.  Thousands showed up with many who grew up in the area and thrilled to be back home.

The Fairfield centennial celebration is a time for reflection and fun.  Thousands attended Saturday's festivities where 35 vendors were on hand.

Sunday, Fairfield will have a community church service.
