NEAR COEUR D'ALENE -- A small plane has been removed from the median of Interstate 90 after making an emergency landing late Sunday night.
It happened just after 10:30 p.m. between Post Falls and Coeur d'Alene near milepost 10. Troopers say the plane had an electrical failure. The pilot landed the plane on the highway and slowly moved it into the median.
Four people were on the plane including the pilot's 82 year old mother, son, and the son's girlfriend. Nobody was injured and the landing did not cause any accidents. The family was flying to get a birds-eye-view of the 4th of July fireworks.
