SPOKANE -- Firefighters quickly contained a small brush fire in Northwest Spokane Thursday evening.
The fire burned a 50'x50' area near Pettet Drive and Northwest Point Road. Firefighters say it started below the hill at Westpoint Drive and flames started running up the hill, putting some homes in danger.
No homes were damaged. Crews remained on the scene Thursday evening putting out hot spots.
