SPOKANE--KREM 2 news met with the alleged sex trafficking victim's father Friday morning. He says he was aware she was in some sort of trouble, but didn't know the full scope of the situation.
He last spoke with her on Wednesday.
We showed the alleged victim's father a copy of the search warrant, outlining details of the case. The father told KREM2 that he only had limited knowledge of what was going on.
He previously had conversations with her over the past couple of months that substantiate the information found in the search warrant. She told her father that she had been forced to have sex with other men and do drugs against her will, and that death threats were made against her and her family.
Up until recently, the father says he had given money to his daughter to help with her rent.
Documents show one of the men involved in this case, Trevor Lee Franklin, dated the alleged victim and also worked for her father.
When the alleged victim's father found out that Franklin was a level-three sex offender, he says he grew concerned, and cut off support to his daughter, with the hope that Franklin would go away.
The victim’s father says he felt some of the details he learned from his daughter were too farfetched to initially believe.
