SPOKANE VALLEY-- More than three weeks after Super Storm Sandy came ashore, one Spokane Valley is still seeing a high need for its generator parts.
HOTSTART has been in business for 70 years. The business on East Alki Avenue in Spokane Valley makes engine heaters for generators; those parts are in such high demand in Sandy’s aftermath, the company is asking its staff to work extra hours.
HOTSTART CEO Terry Judge said orders for some products are up more than 50%.
Judge decided since the company is benefitting so much from a tragedy, he wanted to do something to help storm victims. Workers decided to send supplies and make cash donations to the Red Cross.
