NORTH SPOKANE-- A standoff with an armed Spokane man ended peacefully after four hours.
It started around 3:00 p.m. Thursday when police attempted to serve a felony warrant to Maceo Williams, 27. They learned he could be in a west central neighborhood and went to serve him the warrant. When officers arrived, Williams allegedly ran into a home in the 2300 block of West Broadway, where he barricaded himself.
Williams already had other convictions to his name, including 2nd Degree Assault and Riot with a Deadly Weapon.
Negotiatiors attempted to contact Williams for hours, even using robots to deliver a phone to the suspect. All attempts were unsuccessful.
Around 7:00 p.m. officers filled the home with pepper spray. Within seconds, Williams stumbled out of the residence and into police custody.
Police found at least one handgun in the home.
There is no word yet on what additional charges Williams may face.
