SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash. -- A retired firefighter with more than two dozen years of experience has been named as Spokane Valley Fire Dept.’s newest chief.
Bryan Collins retired three years ago after serving as assistant fire chief for three years in San Roman, Calif.
Collins has 27 years experience. He has a bachelor's degree in vocational education/occupational studies and holds a master’s degree in emergency services administration, both from California State University-Long Beach. He completed the Executive Fire Officer program at the National Fire Academy.
Chief Collins will start as chief on March 4.
