SPOKANE, Wash. -- An elderly man suffered minor injuries when a SUV struck him in Spokane.

It happened Friday night at the intersection of Francis and Normandy.

Police blocked Francis in both directions for hours as they investigated.

Paramedics were first concerned the man was seriously hurt, but they said later Friday he has just scrapes and bruises.

Police say alcohol was not a factor in this crash, and the driver will not be cited.
