Armed robbery suspect killed by SPD linked to 10 hold-ups

SPOKANE, Wash.--Spokane Police Department detectives said Wednesday that they determined Stephen Corkery was responsible for ten armed robberies in the Spokane area since February 17, 2014.

Corkery was shot by Spokane police officers in March after a standoff at a N. Spokane home.

Detectives determined Corkery robbed:

Subway on N. Hamilton on March 16
Subway on N. Nevada on March 18
Subway on W. Wellesley on March 19
Deb’s Espresso on March 24
Baskin Robbins on March 25
Sunny Buns Tanning Salon on March 25

Detectives said they were also investigating Corkery’s connection to an armed robbery at Yokes on March 18.

Detectives said they believe Corkery was assisted by another person driving a get-away car. Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Check at 456-2233.
