SPOKANE, Wash. -- While many students were trying to trick their teachers on April Fools’ Day, it was the other way around at Roosevelt Elementary Tuesday morning.
Char Russell, the regular first grade teacher, pretended to be a substitute, complete with an elaborate disguise to try to fool her very own students.
She eventually revealed the supposed sub was her all along.
“She has a lot of accessories and much makeup and a ring that tells time,” said Russell. “Usually, they don’t know who I am, and it’s fun!”
Russell calls her alter-ego ‘Mrs. Primrose,’ and said she's very strict.
