AIRWAY HEIGHTS, Wash. -- Emergency crews responded to a rollover crash on Highway 2 Thursday morning.
Washington State Patrol troopers said a pickup truck rolled over an embankment and started a fire near Russell Road, close to the Interstate 90 interchange. No other vehicles were involved in the wreck. According to authorities, the driver was headed eastbound around 6:30 a.m. and lost control.
Authorities said the driver was transported to the hospital with unknown injuries.
The wreck was initially blocking both eastbound lanes of State Route 2, but was cleared around 8:15 a.m.
The crash was placed under investigation.
