CHATTAROY, Wash. -- It has been almost eight months since the Riverside Elementary School won a contest for a new computer lab.

Riverside Elementary won the Great American Classroom Makeover Contest. They received $10,000 for a computer lab upgrade.

The school got at least 30 brand new computers in one room alone. The decade old computers are finally gone.

Teacher Mindy Shaw’s classroom got a set of 15 iPads.

“They know that being part of this is something pretty special and it’s not something we all have. So we treat them like gold,” said Shaw.
