POST FALLS, Idaho-- The owners of Nate’s New York Pizza decided to do Thanksgiving differently this year. Workers gave away free pizza slices while most people were focused on turkey.

The day before Thanksgiving is the busiest day of the year for the restaurant in Post Falls. So the owners told KREM 2 News that this was their chance to give back.

“Thanksgiving is about giving back to people and this is our way of giving back, “said owner Glenn Gatherer.

The employees worked for free. They just asked for people to bring a canned food donation. All the donated food will go to a local food bank.
